Artist's Comments

First of all I'd just like to thank [link] SmileEmptySoul0 for her beautiful imagination, creativity, and motivations (whatever they may be). Without those, she wouldn't have created [link] (Your deer in the headlights) and other gorgeous works that make up her unique gallery. I fell in love with the photograph, and it instantly became one of my personal favourites that I have ever layed eyes on in DA. Simple, emotional, and tells a story; I can't exactly put it into words.

I got some plaster from school, even though I've never worked with any sort of sculpting media before. I used "Your deer in the headlights" as a work I wanted to recreate in sculpted form...Originally it was to be exact, but then I sorta wanted to play it up a bit and experiment making it sorta my own (I use that phrase loosely :giggle:).
Anyway, I know it isn't perfect, and it might bug some people (deformed arm for example lol)-but that's okay because I'm fairly happy with it. It means a lot to me just like the picture. (Okay, the picture means way more...)

P.S. Yes, I have a perfectly noise-free image as well. I chose this one for a purpose. :)

A longtime favorite of mine, Her Pins + Needles Corner by ~AngelsCrySilent illustrates a pretty despair done in plaster, one of the many virtually unseen sculpture works on dA. (Featured by `oedalis)

I had only put like two originally just to hold the fabric onto her body so I could sew it on...but then I thought it might look good with them in (and plus, I think the best job I did was like her middle section lol I wanted to be able to see it again if I wanted to :giggle:) so pin-crazy I went! :)
